Living in a church

The church of the Assumption, belonging to a building also degraded, already undergoing building renovation as a bed and breakfast, had no intended use. Located in the province of Bresciana was deconsecrated in the early '50s and abandoned in 1968.
It is a religious building of the province, scant of decorations, less than the most famous churches in the area, but full of history and spirituality.
It was decided to propose to the client to convert the space of the Church into a particular residence to rent in the bed and breakfast market.
The typological and functional conversion did not provide any tampering with the original surfaces, it was decided to intervene with structures detached from the walls and flooring.
Staying in a deconsecrated church is a unique experience, allowing you to enjoy large spaces and unprecedented heights, giving a deep sense of tranquility and inner peace.
The "new" Church inside provides a living-dining area, a sleeping area placed in the former votive chapel, a bath-sauna, and a loft living a few meters from the barrel vault.
The unique experience of staying in a deconsecrated Church allows you to rediscover tranquility and insight, sensations also accentuated by the deep beauty of the surrounding nature.
